How it works
Your school needs a character education program that actually gets used — one that fits into the school day, gives educators practical tools, and builds a shared language across classrooms.
The Positivity Project is a Pre-K–12 character education program built around 24 character strengths and the Other People Mindset. With ready-to-use lessons, schoolwide resources, and implementation support, P2 equips your educators to consistently build character and strengthen relationships.
Students, teachers, and parents will be equipped with a consistent, strengths-based language to talk about character and relationships.
By focusing on the Other People Mindset, schools improve student behavior and build stronger relationships between students and staff.
By fostering positive relationships and enhancing self-awareness, schools implementing P2 report that student attendance and academic performance increase.
Schools that implement the P2 mindset create supportive, compassionate environments where students feel valued and connected.
Ready-to-use daily lessons — no planning required.
P2 delivers targeted solutions that support both intervention and enrichment.
Training, onboarding, and ongoing coaching.
Extend learning beyond the school walls with information and tools.
Multiple peer-reviewed studies validating improved behavior, relationships, and culture. Used in 800+ schools across 20+ states, in urban, suburban, and rural communities.
Since implementing P2, we have had at least a 75% decrease in bus violations/write-ups, as well as a 50% decrease in recess and school behavior issues.
Becoming a Partner School gives your staff access to P2's Pre-K–12 resources — including Tier 1 lessons, Tier 2 and 3 resources, P2 for Families, P2 for Educators, P2 PBL, and more.
Resources are ready to use and shared through Google Drive, so teachers can spend their time with students rather than planning another curriculum.
Every Partner School receives an onboarding call with the P2 team to build its implementation plan.
Together, you'll decide who teaches P2, when it happens, how you'll reinforce it schoolwide, and how you'll introduce it to staff and families. Your 1-Page Implementation Plan puts those decisions in one place so everyone knows what P2 looks like in your school.
Once the plan is set, P2 becomes part of your school day.
Teachers open the lesson for the week and teach it during the time your school has designated — whether that's morning meeting, advisory, homeroom, a content area, or another existing routine.
Consistency is what turns character education from an occasional activity into a shared language across your school.
One program. One shared language. Different routines for different levels.
P2 grows with students from Pre-K through 12th grade, with age-appropriate lessons and implementation models designed for elementary, middle, and high school.

At The Positivity Project, our impact extends beyond the school walls. Parents across the country consistently share how P2 has strengthened conversations at home, helping children build stronger relationships, show greater resilience, and develop a deeper understanding of their own strengths.
When families see these positive changes, it deepens trust in the district’s commitment to student well-being — and reinforces the culture of character you are building every day. Learn more about P2’s impact on families.
Based on the quality of conversations we have had with our kids over the last year, I know for sure that P2 is making a difference in how my kids think and feel about themselves and other people. By providing us with a shared vocabulary and a better understanding of the character strengths, P2 has helped our family to have more engaging conversations and a stronger connection with each other.
Principals choose P2 because it provides a proactive, whole-school framework for improving behavior, relationships, and academic success. With ready-to-use lessons and ongoing support, P2 makes it simple to embed character education into daily routines — without adding extra work to already full schedules.
P2 empowers principals to:
Build a positive, connected school culture
Teachers appreciate that P2 is zero prep, flexible, and built for real classrooms. Teachers use P2 to foster strong relationships, promote student well-being, and create classrooms where every student feels seen, valued, and supported.

Build stronger relationships with students
School counselors use P2’s consistent language and focus on character strengths to improve behavior and build stronger emotional resilience in students. With school-wide reach and easy integration, P2 helps counselors extend their impact beyond individual sessions.
P2 enables counselors to:
• Address behaviors proactively with common language

“The impact on our students has been remarkable. Not only do they use the language of strengths daily, but they also actively recognize and appreciate these qualities in their peers. Whether it’s a student acknowledging a classmate’s bravery in a presentation or expressing gratitude for a friend’s kindness, these moments of recognition have created a more positive and inclusive school climate. We have seen students grow in confidence, resilience, and emotional intelligence, all key components of lifelong success.”

Regardless of the different backgrounds and beliefs within our school community, these character strengths and the focus on other people supersedes all perceived boundaries and cultures. When we create an environment for our students, with this consistent message and common language, students naturally begin to celebrate others’ success and the strengths they see amongst their peers. The Positivity Project has united us as more than just a school but as a community.
P2 lessons take 15 minutes a day and require minimal preparation. Teachers simply open the Google Slides lesson for the week’s character strength and begin. There is no additional login, no lesson planning, and no extra materials to gather, making P2 one of the most teacher-friendly character education programs available.
No special background in character education is required. Once registered, schools choose from flexible training options — in-person sessions, virtual workshops, or asynchronous/on-demand modules — that equip every educator to deliver P2 confidently. Even a brand-new teacher can begin on day one.
P2 provides scaffolded, age-appropriate lessons for PreK through 12th grade. The curriculum is designed to grow with students, with content tailored to the developmental stages of elementary, middle, and high school learners.
Absolutely. Individual schools partner with P2 independently all the time. You’ll gain full access to the same resources, training, and implementation support available to larger district partners. If your district later decides to expand, P2 scales seamlessly across buildings.
Partner Schools consistently report improvements in student behavior, attendance, and school culture. Specific outcomes have included a 93% decrease in behavior referrals, a 33% increase in student sense of belonging after one quarter, and 10-20% improvements on state academic assessments.
