Dear P2 Leaders,

At a time when so many of the social and public structures that we have come to depend on are at risk of sudden change, we want to make sure that you have every opportunity to continue providing your students with high-quality character strength experiences.
As a result, we are implementing a system that will enable teachers to continue the year with Positivity Project resources in the event that your school district moves to an online teaching model.

Synchronous Teaching Model:
If your district or building plans to go to a synchronous online model where you’ll be presenting to students using an online platform each day, you will still have access to all of the slide presentations and character cards that you’ve been using all year.  You’ll be able to present your information using whatever online tools your district designates in the same way you’ve presented all year long.  In this model, you’ll have all the access you need, and we’ll be here to support you through whatever changes occur with your district’s infrastructure.

Asynchronous Teaching Model:
If your district is moving to a model that won’t necessarily put you right in front of students every day, our goal is to help you provide families with access to the P2 Slide Presentations using the learning management system that your school has designated.  In this model, we will provide you the ability to add members to a designated family group for your school. Email addresses that you add to this group will have access to presentations that you share using your district’s distance learning platform.  If your building moves to an asynchronous learning model, please click here and fill out this form.  Once you have filled this form out, you will receive instructions about how to upload family groups to your school’s Google Group.

Openly Available Resources:
Regardless of whether this issue arises, we want to take this opportunity to remind everyone that we have an entire host of resources that are open and available for public use.  Please find attached below the link all of our Character Cards. Please feel free to share this resource with families regardless of what the next few weeks and months hold for education in the wake of the COVID19 pandemic.

Full set of 2019-2020 Character Cards:

As always, do not hesitate to reach out and let us know if there are ways that we can help support you and your families as we enter into this unknown period in education.

Very Sincerely,
Frank
