What’s the cost of becoming a P2 Partner School?

The annual Positivity Project Partnership is $1,495 per school per school year (which, for an average 500-student school is less than $3/student for the entire year). You can pay before July 1 using your 2019-20 funds or after July 1 using your 2020-21 funds.
For New York State schools, in BOCES-supported districts, there is a Cooperative Service Agreement (CoSer) through Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES (CoSer #511.003). This means that BOCES will pay The Positivity Project $1,495 and then invoice your district for $1,495 (plus a 5.4% BOCES administrative fee) for a total of $1,576.18 per school. Your district will be reimbursed at your state aid ratio by New York State in the next fiscal year. For example, if your district has a 70% state aid ratio, your district will be reimbursed $1,103.33 ($1,576.18 x .70) next fiscal year for your school’s partnership.
And, for any school that can’t afford $1,495, we also have P2 Scholarship opportunities.

What’s included in a partnership?

We equip Pre-K-12 schools with the resources, training, and strategy to teach positive psychology’s 24 character strengths and empower their students to build positive relationships.
Partner Schools have access to 32-weeks of grade-level differentiated daily 15-minute lessons via Google Slides, online training to lead a 3-hour staff-wide professional training, differentiated implementation strategy playbooks, and ongoing support. And, for the 2020-21 school year, we are releasing P2 for Families to help you better connect with your students’ homes.

  • We are in the business of changing lives, and partnering with The Positivity Project has rekindled that fire.
Jeremy Mitchell, Principal at Indian Hill Elementary School
  • I believe that using P2 has enhanced relationships between students in my class. They are more interested in solving conflicts with each other, forgiving each other and learning to respect each other. I have literally no behavioral issues in my class and I think it’s largely due to my consistent use of P2. Students love spending time each day learning about the 24 character strengths.
Jessa Salibrici, 5th Grade Teacher at J.T. Roberts, Syracuse City Schools
  • We must deliberately and consistently teach our children about character. The P2 has transformed the culture of our building and our community in Homewood.
Dr. Virginia Hill, Principal at Lincoln STEAM Elementary School
