Coronavirus Challenge Winner: Saafa Tahboub, Madison Cox and Maya Youngs

By Tiffany Hendrick

Grand Blanc High School hosted a Coronavirus Challenge in which students from both the high school and West Middle School were asked how they could spread kindness throughout their community.

Second place winners at Grand Blanc High School, Saafa Tahboub, Madison Cox and Maya Youngs centered their project around “Growing Happiness One Sunflower At A Time.”  The trio set out to highlight the character strengths of kindness, humility, teamwork, purpose, and perspective.  With their motto “In the midst of a pandemic happiness grows” they delivered sunflower seed growing kits  around their community to bring a little happiness into each home.  To see how impactful this was on the recipients of this sweet gesture, click the image above or  check them out on Instagram @growing.happy.ness
